Well, it's been almost a month, so I guess I'd better get this thing updated! I think I've been waiting for something to happen, but alas, nothing has. We have had a few firsts and adventures during January.
Newell's been home sick from school this week. That's a first this year as last year was "let's get e-coli and see how much of first grade we can possibly miss". So we made it 100 days into second grade this year. Not too shabby.
Landon's been bringing home and reading his first books from kindergarten. He's a great reader and is sailing through his sight words. I'm so glad that I get to spend the early afternoon with him before his brothers get home from school.
Truman's started his first job. He's taking garbage and recycling bins to the curb for a few people in our neighborhood to earn some money. We've also decided to start a family "citrus picking" business. It's still in its infancy, but we'll keep you updated.
Fielding's first is that he is officially "mobile". He goes everywhere on his hands and knees. We've had to pull everything off the floor to accomodate his travels. Now he comes and finds me when he's tired or hungry. I love it when they become self-sufficient!
Dave is filling out his first W-2 forms for an employee. With the deadline of January 31 looming, he's working hard to get all the finance stuff for his business in order. It's crazy all the things you have to do when you own your own business. I never would've known. A few weeks, ago, he also had his first person approach him and ask if they could work for him next year. Pretty cool. But when I think about it, who wouldn't want to work for Dave?
We used the juicer attachment on our Bosch for the first time Monday and made the best fresh-squeezed orange juice (from the oranges on our orange tree) that you could ever imagine. I think that we're going to have to plant another one, because I am totally addicted to this juice. We didn't put any sugar in it and it was perfect. If that's not an incentive to come and visit, well then I don't know what is. We also got our first replacement mat for our trampoline a couple weeks ago. It's much more bouncy than the last one.

Thanks, for updating your blog I think that it's awesome we can all see what's going on. Sometimes I wonder if Newells immune system still isn't up to par since the whole e-coli thing? Anyway talking about the citrus fruit already makes us want to go to Arizona again this year. Were still not sure yet but we'll totaly let you know.

Yum - fresh squeezed! IT's the best! My mom always sends a box of AZ OJ's up to us. I'm always sad when they're gone. I'm heading down there this week for my nephew's wedding. So excited to get out of the cold!
